Apathy & Exhaustion

I don’t drink milk

These bones don’t lie

With skin so pale

You’d think Snow White

Fragile, frail

Unable to unveil

Implications of the situation

And complications real.

Self-destructive satisfaction

Surrendering to mass frustration.

Casually waiting

Hating the ideals

Debating the sedation

And what is truly real

Realizing that creole is

No message etched in steel.

Preserved in the strands of time

With alterations small

Telling stories yet untold

No writing on the wall.

Tales of apathy and exhaustion

Frantic lies and confusion,

Sick fantasies that say to me

All of this is truly

What is real.

None of this is ideal

For me at all.
