Over & Out

Can’t focus on poetry
Or anything for long
I think it’s time to accept
That I’m no longer adept
At rhythms and rhymes
Or conjuring thoughts divine

A dissociated, psychotic break
From regular, functional mentality
No longer in touch with reality
Dreams confuse and choke

The light of day scares me
This ships sinking quickly
I’ve sunk and drowned
The only place left
Is a hole in the ground

  1. I agree with Pooja. Actually, this was very poetic and visceral. I do hope the poet is actually doing well and if not, a silly wee dragon hug is probably all you need. You can get one here —>HUG!<—
