The Most Wonderful Woman I Know

Seems as soon as things look up
Something must drag me down
Back to the realm of mortals
A grave storm breaks the calm

The death of a dear friend
Overshadows new beauty
For her doom is impending
Few more days will life lend her

So I make my way tomorrow
To stand by her deathbed
Cloaked in a blanket of sorrow
Sadness pounding in both our heads
